Amazing location....had a very nice evening walk around the grounds. The food in the bar was excellent and the staff were lovely

The walls in our room were a little thin, during the night you could here a lot of movement and noises from the other guests.

      Beautifull grounds

Poor internal decor outside of main lobby entrance, dated rooms, under -staffed, poor food, its obvious they are running this hotel on a shoe-string, which is a pity because the potential is huge.

This weekend break was bought by my mother-in-law as a gift for our wedding anniversary as she knows I really wanted to travel to the Cotswolds and she specifically chose Heythrop Hall due to the fact that we love to stay in old properties with history and character. Upon arrival we decided to upgrade to a room within the main house and was very happy with the room. It was full of character with high ceilings, two large sash windows with an open aspect over the lawns, a lovely fireplace and a beautiful spacious bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Anton on Reception was also very helpful telling us where best to visit during our stay.

We wouldn't visit again and this was down to the fact that we very much felt we'd paid for a premium hotel but received Premier Inn service/facilities. Despite Heythrop having it's own characterful dining room we were forced to walk a fair distance along many corridors within the hotel to the ajoining hotel, Crown Plaza. In this hotel the feel was very different and really not what we had paid for. We had to eat breakfast and dinner in this hotel and on the first night we asked if we could take our bottle of wine back to a lounge in Heythrop to enjoy the surroundings. We were advised that this would be fine but we'd just got settled when we were asked to the leave the room and it was only 9pm. On the second evening we walked again to Crown Plaza and ate a terrible meal with cost us almost £70. The waitress was clearly very new and couldn't answer anything we asked her without advice and we were seated right next to the till where we were constantly disturbed by staff discussions. On our final morning having felt "ripped off" by the meal of the previous evening we again walked over to Crown Plaza for breakfast to be told today we were in the main house dining room, we would have been elated to have heard this but to be honest this was the final straw - could they not have let us know this either by note the previous day or upon check in. In my opinion this is a real shame. Heythrop is a real gem but we did very much feel despite paying for it's ambience we weren't allowed to enjoy it.

Quiet location, ambience, country house style

Cold fried eggs at the buffet breakfast, really high bar prices

The grounds are beautiful, there are two walled gardens.

There was no mention made of it's being a crowne plaza hotel. The room was TINY. There is a 2 mile running route with attractions marked, but no mention made of the fact that the attractions aren't visible from the route!

Everything the place made you appreciate what you have got and assisted in relaxing you in readiness of an important meeting the next day

Sign posting for the parking of the hotel ( went to the wrong carpark and got wet!!)

The location was great and so was the food. All the staff with the excetion of the person was on reception when we left.

I pointed out to the person on receptoin that there were issues obout our room, specifically half the lighbulbs were faulty, wall paper was either peeling off the walls of already fallen off. That the room had not been properly cleaned after the last occupant. I questioned why they describe the room we were staying in as "Luxury" given the above issues. Having given the hotel every opportunity to make ammends the did precisely nothing.

The location of the hotel complex is stunning-beautiful countryside views from our bedroom with country walks through the large estate grounds.-but also very good for cotswold villages & grand prix-silverstone on A43. Excellent spa/gym facilities in a seperate building means you dont have guests wandering round with dressing gowns on in the hotel! fabulous landscaped 18 hole golf course on site with smart bar/club house. Nice to have a couple of alterantive locations for a drink and bar food options in the complex-traditional country house bar or the funky modern bar with great chatty bar staff. Top quality full english breakfast with a wide variety of fresh fruits/good alternative continental breakfast choice. Excellent formal restaurant for dinner with a varied menu- good value for money. Exceptionally friendly, efficient and professional staff are a credit to the hotel- Lovely comfortable bedroom with a modern bathroom-immaculately clean and fresh. Great stay- cant wait to return for another try at silverstone!

Beautiful location - couldn't see another man-made structure. Amazing hotel, fantastic features and facilities. So large we got lost more than once!

When we booked, the website stated that 'the room was away from the main house'. which was fair enough, what it did not say was that we had booked the last room, and that although the hotel was surrounded by beauty, the room allocated (S236) had no views - except of the maintenance buildings! We were on our wedding anniversary (28 years) and had hoped for a beautiful outlook. We expressed our dissatisfaction to reception, and our case was dealt with by Paul Kelly, duty Manager, who we cannot praise enough. He organised a different room (also the last one) in the adjacent Crowne Plaza hotel.

We where there for a wedding which was very good .lovely place to have it all under one roof and good photo place

I found some of the staff didnot understand what we wanted or ask they just pointed us to the rooms which I found frustrating .
